Sneaky credit card bills

It never stops, does it? Now I've noticed that my credit card company is trying to slip various fees and charges into my bill without explaining them very well. It really stinks, in my opinion, and am I the only person who thinks that credit card bills are actually harder to read and understand than they were a few years ago? It's no wonder people are up to their eyeballs in debt!

And even while I'm having financial problems with payments to one bank, I'm getting 'preapproved' credit card applications from other banks? What's up with that, anyway? Seems kinda stupid, like you'd think that the credit check scoring they do would prevent this, but since I can presumably pay one credit card bill with another credit card, I can see how I could juggle debt until I'm up to my eyeballs, or worse.
